Galati (Romanian: Galaţi; German: Galatz, Hungarian: Galac, Polish: Gałacz; Turkish: Kalas; Ukrainian: Галац) is a city in Moldavia, eastern Romania, the capital city of Galaţi County on the banks of the Danube, very close to Braila.
