Alba Iulia (Hungarian: Gyulafehérvár; Latin: Apulum; German: Karlsburg or Weißenburg; former Turkish: Erdel Belgradı) is a city in Alba County, Transylvania, Romania with a population of 66,747, located on the Mures River.
