Mosfellsbaer (Icelandic: Mosfellsbær) is a town in south-west Iceland, situated some 17 kilometres (11 miles) north of the country's capital, Reykjavík. It has a total area of 197 km² (76 sq mi) and its population as of July 1, 2008 was 8,479. Mosfellsbaer provides numerous opportunities for outdoor and leisure activities.
