The hostel is located directly on the Helmholtz Square in Prenzlauer Berg, one of the most popular areas for Berlin 'Café Culture'. The area is very young and hip, with literally hundred of all night bars and a huge selection of cafes and restaurants, whether it's Indian, Cuban, or tradition German. There are always people out, making the area very safe and in summer is especially nice when all cafes set up their outdoor terraces.

| Came to this hostel as a group and stayed 6 days. Staff were friendly and helpful if a little distant. Our room was clean and a good size - quiet too, there was no noise spill over from the rest of the building. Beds were well constructed and comfy and the warm was warm enough. One of the best aspects of the hostel is it's location. It looks out over a small park square, and there are plenty of good bars and cafes within minutes walk of the hostel. But it remains quiet, as this square never gets rowdy, and all seems quite calm around. The common room is big and spacious, with plenty of space to stretch out if, though the furniture is a bit chaotic. Good connections into the transport system make this a recommendable hostel for a visit to Berlin, particularly for stays of several days as it is slightly out of the centre. |
